Our Founders
Elizabeth Urso Habansky | PT, DPT
Elizabeth has been a practicing pediatric physical therapist for 25 years in the Chicago region after graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Elizabeth has focused her career in pediatrics providing care in hospital, outpatient, and Early Intervention settings. Elizabeth obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2006 and completed her board certification as a pediatric clinical specialist in 2007. In 2009, Elizabeth co-founded Kids on the Grow Pediatric Therapy Services to offer multidisciplinary clinic and home-based therapy services for young children. Elizabeth is a credentialed Illinois Early Intervention Specialist and Evaluator. She is an active member off the American Physical Therapy Association. Elizabeth's dedication to her patients is the driving force behind her success. As a mother of a three children, her passion for children and their development makes even the youngest patient feel comfortable.
Claudette L. Sanchez | MA, CCC-SLP/L
Claudette graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Claudette has specialized in pediatrics for the past 26 years with clinical experiences in school-based settings and private practice. She began her private practice in 2001 specializing in Early Intervention speech-language services. In 2009, Claudette co-founded Kids on the Grow Pediatric Therapy Services to offer multidisciplinary clinic and home-based therapy services for young children. Claudette is a mother of three children who has transformed her love of children and interest in research into creative, successful treatment interventions for children with speech and language disorders. Claudette is a certified member of ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association). She is also a credentialed Early Intervention Specialist and Evaluator through the Illinois Early Intervention Program. Claudette enjoys practicing yoga, spending time at the beach on Lake Michigan, and watching her boys play baseball in her spare time.
Physical Therapists
Suzanne Lans | PT, DPT
Suzanne graduated from Touro University Nevada with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. She has experience working with children from birth through 18 years old with a wide variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, and developmental conditions. She has taken continuing education courses on toe walking, torticollis, and Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT). Suzanne is a credentialed Early Intervention Provider through the Illinois Early Intervention Program.
Emma Battaglia | PTA/L
Emma graduated from Oakton Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 2019. Before this, she earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and economics from Northeastern Illinois University. She enjoys working with children with a broad range of abilities and diagnoses. She has completed continuing education in gait development and analysis, orthotics, torticollis, postural control, toe walking, and motor learning in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Occupational Therapists
Bethany Kingsley | OTR/L
Bethany is a graduate of Saint Louis University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Science and Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has clinical and volunteer experience in outpatient pediatric settings and schools as well as inpatient rehabilitation settings. Bethany is passionate about all things occupational therapy and working with the pediatric population. She is client-centered and loves learning new approaches to support her clients and families. Bethany enjoys working inter-professionally and involving parents and families as members of the team to provide the best quality of care for their child. Bethany has a background in research in neuroscience and was a presenter at the Neuroscience 2019 Conference in Chicago, IL. She has special interests in neurological and movement disorders, self-regulation, and adaptive sports. Outside of the clinic Bethany enjoys exploring new places around the city, riding her bike along the lakefront, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Morgan Malone | MOT, OTR/L
Morgan graduated from Saint Louis University with her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She has experience working with kids of all ages and has worked in both the school, clinical, and home settings. She has experience working with children with various disorders including Autism, sensory processing disorder, Down syndrome, developmental delay, and various neurological disorders. She enjoys collaborating with families and supporting each child in helping them thrive in their everyday lives. She is a credentialed Early Intervention provider through the Illinois Early Intervention Program.
Cara Winters | COTA/L
Cara graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2020 with her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and earned her COTA license from Fox College in 2022. Cara has a passion for helping children learn through play-based activities to achieve their goals. Cara has experience working in a school for children with Autism, working in home and clinic settings. Cara strives to provide client-centered therapy through play, sensory exploration, handwriting, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills. Cara is currently attending school to complete her Occupational Therapy Doctoral degree. Cara is a lifelong learner and enjoys learning new strategies/techniques to best help support clients and families.
Speech-Language Pathologists
Lauren Latham | MS, CCC-SLP | Lead Clinical Therapist
Lauren earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from St. Xavier University. Lauren has experience working with children in the home, clinic, school, and daycare-based settings. She enjoys working with young children and their families to provide family-centered, individualized therapy to help meet speech and language, goals. Lauren has experience working with children with various disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Sensory Processing Disorder, Down Syndrome, stuttering, and various neurological disorders. In addition, Lauren is trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to feeding and utilizes the assessment and intervention strategies to support children with various feeding difficulties. Lauren is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a credentialed Early Intervention Provider and Evaluator through the Illinois Early Intervention Program.
Charlotte Spiro | MA, CCC-SLP
Charlotte earned her Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Charlotte has a passion for helping children to communicate and reach their goals while playing, learning and growing. Charlotte has experience working with children in the home and clinic settings. She focuses on providing child-centered therapy through play. Charlotte has experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating articulation, phonology, pragmatics, apraxia, and expressive/receptive language delays and disorders. She is a certified Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) therapist and has experience with patients who identify as Gestalt Language Processors. Charlotte is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is a credentialed Early Intervention Provider through the Illinois Early Intervention Program.
Chloe Kaplan | MA, CCC-SLP
Chloe is a licensed speech-language pathologist who is passionate about working with children of all ages and with a variety of communication disorders. Chloe is fluent in Spanish and has provided speech-language services bilingually to both adults and children in the school, outpatient, in-home, and acute care settings. Chloe received her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Whitman College in 2016 and completed her Master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Cincinnati in 2021. Chloe is a credentialed Early Intervention Specialist through the Illinois Early Intervention Program.

Jamie McKinley | Office Manager/Medical Billing Specialist
Jamie brings over twenty years of Medical Billing & Reimbursement experience to Kids on The Grow. He also spends time instructing courses on medical billing, specializing in training of CPT, ICD-9/10/11 and all around revenue cycle management. Jamie believes education never stops. He comes from a family of educators, where learning and growing was emphasized and valued. As a father of three, he is always striving to learn and help others excel.
